Well here we are, after three years I’ve finally signed up for my first marathon.

Looking around to see what’s best, I’ve opted for York as this is billed as ‘The Friendly Marathon’ as I’m sure I’ll need some support to get to the end this seems to make sense to me.

Well over the next 16 weeks I need to set out a plan to get me into a position where I can finish and if possible get a reasonable time (sub six hours!).
